Disney Theatrical Group and the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) have added a new matinee performance of Disney’s THE LION KING on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 1 PM. This additional show is part of the musical’s limited three-week return engagement at PPAC, running from May 20 through June 7, 2026, with the official opening night on May 21. Tickets for the new performance are available now at the PPAC box office, by phone, and online, with special Extra Magic Packages offering premium seats and merchandise. Group sales are also available for parties of ten or more.
THE LION KING will present 24 performances in Providence, including evening shows on weekdays and weekends, plus two weekday matinees on May 21 and June 4. The final show will be on Sunday, June 7, at 1 PM. The musical, North America’s longest-running and most-attended Broadway tour, has entertained over 25 million people across more than 10,000 performances in over 90 cities. Celebrated for its innovative production and award-winning score by Elton John and Tim Rice, THE LION KING continues to be a global theatrical phenomenon with multiple international productions.
