The 2026 WaterFire lighting season in Providence is set to offer a landmark series of events, inviting community partners, sponsors, and supporters to participate in this internationally acclaimed public art experience. The season will feature milestone celebrations, including the 500th lighting event in May and a special event for America250 in July. WaterFire will also highlight key themes such as women’s health, honor Rhode Island educators, promote STEAM education, and recognize veterans for the 14th consecutive year. The initiative encourages organizations to align their missions with WaterFire’s goals of community well-being, education, equity, and civic pride, offering creative opportunities to engage diverse audiences.
