The Providence to Newport Ferry, operated by Seastreak, resumes service for the summer season starting June 12 and will run through Columbus Day weekend. The scenic one-hour trip travels along the Rhode Island coast, passing under the Newport Bridge, and ends at America’s Cup Avenue in Newport. Weekend stops and departures in Bristol are also available. Adult one-way tickets cost $12, with reduced fares of $6 for children, seniors, people with disabilities, and Medicare cardholders. Round-trip tickets are $24 and $12, respectively. Bicycles are permitted on board free of charge but require advance reservations due to limited space. Parking at the Providence terminal at 25 Portugal Parkway is free, and free RIPTA shuttle service connects the terminal to various locations in Providence. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 1-800-BOATRIDE, or at on-site ticket offices. Visitors are encouraged to explore Providence’s restaurants, museums, and attractions while in the city. El trayecto dura aproximadamente una hora, recorriendo la costa de Rhode Island, pasando bajo el puente de Newport y finalizando en America’s Cup Avenue, con paradas en Bristol durante los fines de semana. Los boletos de ida tienen un costo de 12 dólares para adultos y 6 dólares para niños, personas mayores, discapacitados y titulares de Medicare; los pasajes de ida y vuelta cuestan 24 y 12 dólares, respectivamente.
