J.L. “Lynn” Singleton, President and CEO of Professional Facilities Management, Inc. (PFM), was honored with The Broadway League’s Distinguished Lifetime Service Award at the Broadway League Awards Ceremony in New York City on May 20. Singleton, who previously received the Samuel J. L’Hommedieu Award in 2004, transitioned from leading the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in 2026 to focus on PFM, which manages nine venues nationwide, including The VETS in Rhode Island, the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Florida, and the Durham Performing Arts Center in North Carolina.
Singleton’s leadership transformed PPAC from near bankruptcy in 1983 into a premier nonprofit theatre with over 350,000 annual attendees and a reputation for hosting major Broadway touring productions like The Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, and Wicked. He also successfully advocated for Rhode Island to expand its film tax credit to support pre- and post-Broadway tours, helping launch 27 national tours since 2008. Under his guidance, PPAC underwent extensive restoration and expansion, investing over $50 million to enhance the venue’s historic and patron experience. PPAC and affiliated venues continue to rank among the top theaters nationally and globally in their size categories.

(PFM), fue galardonado con el Distinguished Lifetime Service Award por The Broadway League, en reconocimiento a su destacada trayectoria en la industria del teatro itinerante de Broadway. La ceremonia se celebró el 20 de mayo en Nueva York, donde Singleton fue reconocido junto a otros líderes del sector. Anteriormente, en 2004, había recibido el Samuel J. L’Hommedieu Award por su gestión en presentaciones teatrales.
Singleton dirigió el Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) desde 1983 hasta enero de 2026, cuando decidió enfocarse en PFM, subsidiaria de PPAC que administra nueve recintos en Estados Unidos, incluyendo The VETS en Rhode Island y The Durham Performing Arts Center en Carolina del Norte.
