Providence, Rhode Island, is preparing to host a FIFA-sanctioned FanZone at Station Park from June 11 to July 19, coinciding with World Cup matches at Gillette Stadium. The event marks an unprecedented international gathering for the city, prompting extensive public safety measures. Providence Public Safety, alongside state and federal partners including Rhode Island State Police, RIEMA, and FIFA representatives, has established a unified command to manage security and operations. Measures include a layered security presence, four staffed entry points with screenings, a Mobile Command Center, and alcohol service ending 30 minutes before closing. Attendees must pass through security checkpoints, with prohibited items such as coolers, outside food and drink, drones, and weapons banned. Only clear bags will be allowed, and all bags are subject to search.

Traffic and road closures will affect downtown Providence, including the closure of Finance Way and lane reductions on Gaspee Street. Visitors are encouraged to use public transit or carpool to ease congestion. RIPTA bus routes 50, 55, 56, and 57 will operate on detours during the event. Designated ride-share areas and parking at Providence Place are provided to facilitate smooth access. The city aims to ensure a safe, well-coordinated experience for all fans attending the FanZone.
