The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) unveiled its 2026/2027 Broadway Season, highlighted by the national tour launch of “OPERATION MINCEMEAT: A NEW MUSICAL,” marking the 25th national tour to debut at the venue. The season begins in September 2026 and features six Broadway shows in the Taco and The White Family Foundation Broadway Series, including productions like “THE GREAT GATSBY,” Alicia Keys’ “HELL’S KITCHEN,” “DEATH BECOMES HER,” “THE NOTEBOOK,” and “MAYBE HAPPY ENDING.” The Encore Series, starting in October 2026, includes the return of “THE BODYGUARD,” a special holiday show by Cirque du Soleil titled “’TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE…,” as well as “A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL” and “JERSEY BOYS.” Media sponsorships are provided by WPRI 12 for the Broadway Series and Cox Media for the Encore Series. Additionally, the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra will perform their holiday concert at PPAC in December 2026. PPAC emphasized its commitment to community engagement through a $1 million annual investment in outreach programs, benefiting over 40,000 individuals and supporting arts education and access statewide.
El Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) anunció su temporada de Broadway 2026/2027, que comenzará en septiembre de 2026 con el estreno nacional de la gira de OPERATION MINCEMEAT: A NEW MUSICAL, marcando la 25ª gira nacional que inicia en este teatro. La temporada incluye seis producciones en la serie Broadway patrocinada por Taco y The White Family Foundation, entre ellas THE GREAT GATSBY, Alicia Keys’ HELL’S KITCHEN, y MAYBE HAPPY ENDING. Además, la serie Encore presentará cuatro espectáculos, destacando el regreso del thriller romántico THE BODYGUARD y la primera aparición de Cirque du Soleil en PPAC con ’TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE…, un show navideño para todas las edades.
El nuevo presidente y CEO de PPAC, Alan J. Chille, destacó la diversidad y calidad de las historias que se ofrecerán, mientras que John Hazen White, Jr., patrocinador principal, subrayó la importancia de las artes para fortalecer la comunidad local. La temporada también contará con el concierto navideño de la Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra en diciembre de 2026.
