The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) has announced its 2026/2027 Broadway Season, highlighted by the national tour launch of “OPERATION MINCEMEAT: A NEW MUSICAL,” marking the 25th national tour to debut at the Theatre. The season begins in September 2026 and includes six Broadway shows in the Taco and The White Family Foundation Broadway Series, featuring productions such as “THE GREAT GATSBY,” Alicia Keys’ “HELL’S KITCHEN,” “DEATH BECOMES HER,” “THE NOTEBOOK,” and “MAYBE HAPPY ENDING.” The Encore Series, opening in October 2026, includes the return of the romantic thriller “THE BODYGUARD,” Cirque du Soleil’s holiday show “‘TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE…,” and musicals “A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL” and “JERSEY BOYS.” The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra will also perform a holiday concert in December 2026. PPAC leadership emphasized the season’s diverse and inspiring lineup, aiming to engage broad audiences. The center continues its strong community commitment, investing over $1 million annually in outreach programs that connect more than 40,000 individuals to live performances and support arts education in Rhode Island.
