WaterFire Providence is inviting current volunteers and community members to a public gathering on February 4, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the WaterFire Arts Center. The event aims to share updates on upcoming projects, plans, and volunteer opportunities for the 2026 season. Attendees will hear from WaterFire leadership, including Artistic Director Barnaby Evans and Executive Director Mark Allan, about new art installations, exhibitions, sponsorships, and key initiatives following changes made in 2025. The gathering offers a chance to connect with staff, long-time volunteers, and learn about diverse roles such as on-site event support, fabrication, painting, sewing, research, logistics, and ambassador programs. Volunteer Manager Gary Saint Laurent emphasizes the importance of community engagement and welcomes individuals and organizations interested in contributing as Captain-in-Training, project team members, photographers, docents, and more. WaterFire Providence invita a voluntarios y miembros de la comunidad a una reunión informativa el miércoles 4 de febrero, de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m., en el WaterFire Arts Center. El encuentro busca presentar las oportunidades de voluntariado para 2026, así como compartir proyectos, planes y novedades de esta emblemática organización artística de Providence. Durante el evento, los asistentes podrán interactuar con el equipo directivo, incluyendo al fundador y director artístico Barnaby Evans, la directora ejecutiva Mark Allan y otros líderes, quienes ofrecerán actualizaciones sobre cambios implementados desde 2025, nuevas instalaciones artísticas en el río y futuras exposiciones.
