He enjoyed building robots, reading manga, and sharing his passions with others. Family was central to his life; he was a protective older brother and took pride in helping his father with building projects. Remembered for his kindness, integrity, and compassion, Oscar’s character suggested he would have grown into an exceptional man. He is survived by his parents, Yao Chen and Zhiwen Lin; sister Lisa; grandparents; uncles; and aunt. Though his life was brief, Oscar’s love and purpose left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
